Eric and I first met in grade school when we played on the same soccer team. However, we didn’t really get to know each other until High School. We have been a couple since. He really balances me out. He is so steady, calm, and mild-mannered (unless there is an IU Basketball game going on). He is a solid Godly husband and wise beyond his years. He works at IU as the fiscal and office manager for the Department of Anthropology. He is adored by his kids and family. He is a good man and a great husband. He knows how to take care of me and love me the way I need to be loved. He has a great sense of humor and is a talented musician. I am so blessed that he chose me to be his wife.
Ben: first born
Ben turned 3 in September. He is an awesome little dude. He is funny, sweet and at times crazy! He loves to play the drums and actually has amazing rhythm for a 3 year old. He loves anything transportation-wise especially helicopters. If any of you have one, he sure would love a ride! So far in life, he has been a pretty mild-mannered kid (mini-Eric). However, it horrifies his grandparents that he jumps off of any surface: couch, bed, chair. He likes to jump. Recently his imagination has taken off and it is so fun to see the things he comes up with. I think he enjoys being a big brother and I can definitely say he is good at it. I know that most mama’s think their kid is the coolest thing to have ever happened…and I definitely feel that way about mine. I am proud and honored to be given this boy to love and nurture. God is so good!
And last but certainly not least…Jack.
Jack is my wild man. He is a big baby and already in to everything…though he can’t even crawl. He is constantly surprising me with the things he manages to do. He is super funny and cute. Every time we pick him up, he squeals/grunts excitedly. He loves to eat and will eat almost anything we give him. He thinks his older brother is the most entertaining person on the planet and loves to watch him run around. He lights up when he sees his Daddy (I’m not that exciting to him, though I’m sure he loves me). He is very vocal and smiles all the time. Jack makes the cutest faces and loves to snuggle. When I pick him up, he wraps his little arms around my neck and fists his hands in my hair. I hope I will always remember how that feels. He makes me happy. Now, if we could only get him to sleep more…but that is more Eric’s territory!
Well, this is my family. I love them all dearly and am so thankful to my God for them. I hope you enjoyed meeting my starting line-up.
