Here is the mac n’ cheese recipe that I made tonight for some friends. Each time I make it, I feel like it gets better. I have linked the website that I got the recipe from, but I have made a few adaptations, so I will re-write it out for you.
8 oz of macaroni pasta
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 can of cream of mushroom or chicken
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 packet of Ranch dressing seasoning
2 slices of bacon or real bacon bits
2 cups of cooked chicken
1 cup of 6 blend Italian cheese
1/2 cup of colby jack shredded cheese
Cook the bacon. Then cook the chicken and cut or shred it. Start the pasta and cook according to the package instructions. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour to the butter and stir over heat for 2 minutes. Add the milk and the can of soup. Cook until boiling. Let it boil for 4 minutes or until it becomes thick. Let it cool for 5 minutes and then add the cheese and seasoning packet.
Preheat oven to 350. In a greased 9×13 baking pan, put in the macaroni add the chicken and bacon. Pour the cheese soup mixture over the pasta and meat. Mix together in the pan. Cook for 10 minutes in the oven and then sprinkle the co-jack and cook until it is melted.
My recipe varies a little from the link below. Either way, this is amazing mac n’ cheese. I loved it and so did my friends. Enjoy!
